Transcendental Meditation (TM) is a simple, effortless meditation technique that uses a silently repeated mantra to help the mind settle into a state of deep inner quiet. Unlike many forms of meditation that focus on concentration, breath control, or actively observing thoughts, TM emphasizes relaxing the mind rather than directing it. Because of this ease and effortlessness, many people find TM more accessible and consistent to practice, leading to a natural sense of calm, clarity, and centered awareness. Its simplicity allows the nervous system to unwind and the mind to drop into stillness without trying to “achieve” anything, making it a gentle yet powerful practice for cultivating inner peace.
